Pride obstructed balcony

When I was sailing on the Pride w/ an obstructed balcony I couldn't find 100% conclusive pictures of what 'obstructed' meant so hopefully I can help others out.

Cabin - 5168

Thanks for the pictures Subarusti. I am going to be in cabin 5170 for my February cruise! I too had a hard time finding pictures / getting a feel for what "obstructed" was when I was ready to book my cruise. I think your pics will be very helpful for future cruisers!!!

We were on 5169 on the Legend and loved it! Those are some of the best obstructed balconies since you're in-between lifeboat and can get a glimpse down.

My friends were in 5170 (we had the divider taken out for a shared balcony) and it was nearly identical. I hope you guys have a great time; the pride is a very beautiful ship!

I am assuming obstructed balconies are cheaper. How do you find which one they are? Thanks

yes, they are cheaper and generally when you are doing the planning on the CC website, choose balcony as your preferred room and the default is to an obstructed view and you can see the room choices and also you can upgrade from there...

OP, thanks for the pics ... I am looking at an obstructed view balcony room in 2012 and appreciate seeing these. A balcony to me just adds extra space to your room, obstructed or not ... a little getaway when you aren't quite ready to sleep and don't want to watch TV ....

Under cabin tips, there are pictures that have a door that can open, but can't go out on. How are those found? Thanks

These are 4K cabins they are on the main deck and to be honest a great value as they are cheaper than OV and you get fresh ocean air and the sound of the ocean

But......... You get a great view of a life boat..... but you can see a little bit of the view

Hi! Are these your pictures of the pride 5230? The only reason I ask is because I have seen these same pictures listed for another ship as well 😕. We booked 5230 on the Pride for December and I want to make sure these are accurate. Thanks!!

I read that was only true for the first three lifeboats in the front of the ship. We are mid ship, but toward the aft.

Thank you both for the replies.

There are 9 lifeboats on each side that front staterooms. The first three are the larger lifeboats, the smaller lifeboats start at staterooms, 5168 and 5169.
