mstravel Posted January 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2011 We are travelling aboard The Dream in May and have several Disney giftcards. My question is, can we have those cards applied as a shipboard credit before boarding? I know I can easily bring them with us but was just curious. jelbnl Posted January 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2011 You can not apply them at check-in but can go to guest services immediately upon boarding and have them added to your account then. You still have to use another form of payment upon check-in.
loveysbydesign Posted January 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2011 So if we add them could we use them towards tips/gratuities at the end of the cruise?
jelbnl Posted January 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2011 yes, you just have to add them to your account first, as everything is charged to your account even tips/gratuities.

deerob Posted January 16, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2011 Does Disney still make/sell the Disney Dollars? I know the stores in our area now only carry the gift cards. I have also checked online and do not see the disney dollars offered.
FUNGIRLS Posted January 16, 2011 #9 Share Posted January 16, 2011 I asked at the Disney store and they said they no longer carry the Disney Dollars, I wanted to get them for stocking stuffers, they just carry giftcards. The cashier didnt give me a reason...
ducklite Posted January 18, 2011 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2011 Gift Cards are individually coded so they can be replaced if lost or stolen as long as you have the receipt and they haven't been used. (Keep them in a seperate place) Also it's a good way of managing internal loss control.
