jilllofalltrades Posted January 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2011 My nephew is 10 and is unsure about Camp Carnival. If he gets bored can he check himself out? My son would be in the Circle C Club. My nephew could get him and they could come find us on the ship. Is he able to do this?
cb at sea Posted January 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Yes, but you'll have to give permission...I don't know if your 10 year old nephew could check out a younger child, tho.
bplazo Posted January 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2011 I do not think that it is a good idea to let a 10 year old check themselves out. Guess this was not your question but I would worry about someone that age on a ship looking for a parent. When my daughter was 11, I would check on her every so often to see if she wanted to leave. tonit964 Posted January 10, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2011 If you don't give him sign out permission, he will not be able to participate in the scavenger hunts. Our DD 10 has sign out permission. I don't think kids that age should be roaming the ship by themselves so what we do that works well for us is my DD decides what times she wants to be at the kids camp and we walk her there and when she is done, we meet her right outside the door of the camp or where ever they are at that time. That way she can do the activities and we still have peace of mind and know where she is at all times. Everyone is happy! Good Luck and have fun! jilllofalltrades Posted January 10, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted January 10, 2011 I would never let him roam around by himself. My son(13) will be next door at Circle C. He would have to get him to go with him to find us.
Naomi John Posted January 11, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2011 I would never let him roam around by himself. My son(13) will be next door at Circle C. He would have to get him to go with him to find us. Then set the rules. It's that simple.
