Lkcossmfr Posted January 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2011 Was looking for things to do in Aruba Sunday April 5th, our ship is in port 7am to 5, anyhow I see that there's a Carnival parade going on that day. Worth seeing? Ant tips on viewing locales or what ever? any info would be appreciated, sounds like fun and maybe by then we would like a break from beaches. SeaDays Posted March 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2011 Are you sure about April 5th? The website for the events indicates the big event on MARCH 5th.
Hatteras51 Posted March 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Don't know of any Carnival parades in April. The Carnival pajama parade was March 5th and the grand Carnival parade was March 6th. We've been there during Carnival season for the past two years. Last year we went downtown to see the grand parade at noon and waited until 4:30 but it never showed up. Its not like parades here in the US. They stop and party along the way, and there's no predicting when they will arrive downtown. Unless there's some other parade downtown that day, there won't be much going on there. The shops are closed on Sundays. Your best bet would be to take an excursion or head to one of the beaches.
