I would like so clarification. If I book a suite, does it count as 2 cruises? If so, one could book a suite on a 1 day cruise and get credit for 2 cruises. If this is correct, I wish I lived close to a port Princess cruises out of.

Yes, two cruise credits for booking a suite, and even a one night cruise in a suite adds two. Only time you don't get two is if you are upgraded to a full suite. You must book and pay for it, upgrades don't count. ;)
