POM/FLL Question

Hello! I'm a first time cruiser and was wondering what time I should expect to get off the boat? Itinerary says the boat docks at 6 AM. Our flight does not leave until 530 PM. Was thinking about renting a car from POM and driving up to FLL. Plan to stop somewhere in between to entertain the children. Just needed to know what time I should expect to get off the boat? Also, any ideas on what to do with kids in the Miami/FLL area for the day would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Amy

Most ships returning to POM arrive early - even if you take your time, enjoy breakfast and a few last minute photos you are likely to be off the ship and clear of customs by about 9:00. ;)

Rent a car, stash the bags in the trunk, head for Miami Beach and then drive north until you see someplace to stop. Hollywood is a nice beach town between the two - have lunch, shop, swim, etc. If your kids are young enough there is a good zoo in Miami and also a Seaquarium. Good luck! :)
