Firegerry Posted January 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2011 We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in early October. Any feedback on weather issues for the Caribbean? Was thinking of doing a cruise out of California to avoid the possible hurricanes but the only thing I see is Disney/Mexican Riviera. Thanks,
paul929207 Posted January 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Happy Anniversary. We are about three months ahead of you - celebrating 25 in July. Not sure how much better the weather is on the Pacific side of Mexico. So on the hurricanes cross from the Carib to the Pacific and there are Pacific storms. Gopher1934 Posted January 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2011 I would have no problem booking a crusie to the caribbean in Oct. The cruise lines will avoid any Hurricane. You would have less problem in the Southern Caribbean . Place's like Aruba far south have less Hurricane problem. you would be best off leaving from San Juan and go south
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2011 Caribbean and Mexican Rviera are 2 very different cruises. We just did 14 days in the Caribbean this past Ocotber - back-to-back cruises. On our first segment after we left Key West -- instead of doing a western itinerary -- Hurricane Paula had our captain changing our itinerary to the eastern Caribbean.
