New crown & anchor changes at a glance

Recommended Posts

I must ring RCCL in the morning, reason why nothing credited is because I used my 2nd name when I registered on RCCL ( which I am always known by)

Passport & so cruise bookings are under my 1st name ( as are all legal documents, Drs etc)

Now I have to prove that I am one & the same person.

I have e-mailed with DOB, but will ring in the morning & also clarify my Select Status on X, as we are allowed to use that on RCCL.

Thanks for all your help & info.

Well this has now been partially sorted, the membership under my second name has been deleted. Still trying to get 2 weeks credited for our back 2back on Splendour- they were treating it as one cruise, even tho it was for 14 nights.

I gave her the dates, it is now down as 2 cruises , but the 1st week has earned 1 point & the 2nd week 7 points.

In other words, although she added 2 cruises, she didn't alter the points earned.

MATHS gone wrong was the title of my e-mail!

This is the e-mail which I have had from RCCL:

"You only had one cruise point showing for 9/23/2001 and then you advised us

that this was a B2B so we manually added the points for 9/30/2001.

Because the system changed yesterday, we now add the points as actual

cruise nights sailed so you were awarded 7 points for the 7 nights of the

cruise.

Before you were awarded 1 point per cruise.

With the conversion it would have taken the 1 point you had. Times x 7 = 7

and then we gave you a bonus point making 8.

The conversion was done before we added the B2B today.

We then added today the 7 nights for the B2B so 7 + 8 = 15 which is

correct.

You are actually Platinum status by nature of your cruise history with

Celebrity. You are Select on Celebrity. When you move up to Elite on

Celebrity you will be upgraded to Diamond on RCI.

You have 7 points on Celebrity and need 10 to reach Elite.

Celebrity has not changed it's rules at all. It is still one poiint per

cruise, one for travelling in a suite, and one for a cruise over 12 nights

There are no plans for Celebrity to change the way their points are

calculated.

There are only 3 tiers on Celebrity - Classic, Select and Elite."
