cruisenfever Posted February 18, 2011 #126 Share Posted February 18, 2011 OK....if we must be EXACT...I'd change it to immediately following gift shop and before fine jewelry- artactually - $100 USD off your purchase of $1000 USD or more. following the airbrushed tattoos and prior to the caricature - PETS AT SEAS DISCOUNT - 10% off your Pets at Sea package which includes a pet and outfit. and the very last coupon after DI - BRITTO COLLECTIBLE - 10% off a Romero Britto Collectible I suppose the hyphens can be removed. But they are what they are wherever they are located in the book. Version 15 01/01/2011 Expiration 07/31/2011 I have thrown away all my old coupons because of the expiration date. I didn't think it would be nice to try to pass them off as still usable even if they are the same. Plus, the old ones say Diamond and Diamond Plus. The current ones say Diamond Plus and Pinnacle so they look pretty obvious even if no one checks the date. Not to mention...I have enough clutter around here. :p BTW - I can't figure out how to put the dot in front of each line or I'd have plugged them into the list myself. ;) Gina The NEW Diamond Plus & Pinnacle Club Members Ultimate Value Coupon Booklet!!!!:D:D Diamond Plus & Pinnacle Club Members Specialty Restaurant First Night BUY ONE GET ONE FREE - (offer includes Chops Grille, Portofino, 150 Central Park Avenue, Solarium Bistro and Giovanni's Table. cruisenfever Posted February 18, 2011 #127 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Wonderful. Please tell me from that link what is contained in the Emerald books as was asked by the original poster. Thanks in advance. From what C&A has said Emerald and Platinum are the same. But, then they have been wrong before. :p Again, no one has really bothered to post what the contents are...........So until someone does........it's all speculation. mommabean Posted February 18, 2011 #129 Share Posted February 18, 2011 You know I actually like the Seattles best coffee and I also agree about the coupons...something for everyone We really liked the Seattle's Best coupons when cruising on Monarch and Majesty. Most of our cruises on those ships were pre-diamond event. We used them as our own pre-dinner event and the location on those ships was great for enjoying a cappuccino and watching people go by. I really like the open centrum concept with the large seating area. Gina

mommabean Posted February 21, 2011 #138 Share Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) I'd be afraid of a no answer to that mommabean, but I guess thats the worst that could happen I didn't really ask...sort of. "We can use these, too, can't we?" More like a question after a statement. I showed them the coupon before we ordered coffee. If they had said no, we'd have skipped the coffee. So really, we used 3 coupons. The 2 for one dinner and both of our coffee coupons. I'd say they are flexible considering I've had them call me on a later day and ask me if I'd like to eat in the specialty restaurant and still have my coupon honored - 2 for 1. :) Gina Edited February 21, 2011 by mommabean

mommabean Posted February 24, 2011 #143 Share Posted February 24, 2011 That we have the coupon book, will take the sting out of fuel surcharges if they do indeed happen;) I can't believe that even with fuel this high, that they would begin a fuel surcharge. There would be so many cancellations of cruises that haven't yet reached final payment that they would have to steeply discount prices to fill the available cabins. That would lower the total booking revenue by way more than they'd stand to lose by NOT adding the fuel surcharge. But I guess that's off topic for this thread, isn't it? :) Gina

And again when I see the coupon books laying on my bed or desk when I do board, well eases the pain for me. All the D+ amenities done online were waiting in my stateroom on each week of the cruise. Concierge Marina and Fernando were gracious, helpful beyond the call of duty, etc. Johannes our head waiter week one, fabulous! Rodello in Rita's was the very best, and Fernando and Sadie in the MDR were both fantabulous! Can't forget Duncan our room steward for both weeks was wonderful. Another great cruise, the crew was great again enjoyed the new and improved perks IMHO:):) Edited March 27, 2011 by koterry

The perks for booking with the new rewards program are greater moneywise depending on your tier. You can find your discount online or just call RCCL tell them your tier and they will give the cash off figure!:)
05mak05 Posted April 20, 2011 #147 Share Posted April 20, 2011 We were very pleasantly surprised with the new amenities. We chose a towel rather than wine this time. (One amenity per household.) It's big, nice and soft. And, we had two Diet Cokes in the room plus a very nice cheese-cracker-cookie basket. I remember picking the Cokes but the basket was unexpected. We had a good time on the balcony sipping our Cokes and eating cheese. We were given t-shirts in the casino for the free spins which we brought home and gave to friends. We used coupons for two free pictures, free internet ... can't remember what else. Next time we'll book Chops for the 2 for 1 on the first night. And, the new menu is outstanding. Every single meal was delicious and by far the best food we've ever had on a cruise (although we've never gone hungry!) Lobster was served on the last night rather than formal night. And, flourless chocolate cake is still on the Sampler Plate. It was a really fun cruise with an outstanding, friendly crew.
born-to-cruise Posted May 13, 2011 #148 Share Posted May 13, 2011 The new points reward system delayed me achieving Diamond status. Diamond could have been achieved by booking minimum of two twelve nights cruises. It will take minimum of three fourteen cruises in the new system. C and A rep didn't have a good answer when asked. If it was truly an enhancement C and A could have grand fathered those that were nearing Diamond status. Your thoughts are appreciated.
negc Posted May 13, 2011 #149 Share Posted May 13, 2011 No system is perfect or completely fair. I think that an objective reading of the reactions to the change indicates far more were pleased than displeased by the results. It may not have worked out in your favor but for many more it seems to have been satisfactory.

My thoughts to your situation however is, you were nowhere near diamond status. When stating you needed two 12-night cruises to get to Diamond that equals 4 cruise credits under the old system. So you were at 6 cruise credits which means you just made Platinum and were not remotely close to Diamond.
