Charleston questions

We will be cruising on the Fantasy out of Charleston, SC. I have a few questions regarding the ship and ports. First of all how does the parking work when you arrive at the port? We have cruised several other cruise lines out of ports in FL but I was curious as to how the flow worked in Charleston and what tips we need to know.

I found something very helpful. Just google Carnival Fantasy Bulletin 1

January 1, 2011 and a Bulletin comes up with all kinds of info about

the port and the parking. Hope this helps:)

You pull into the Gate on Concord Ave. There are two traffic lines for dropping off your luggage. One is for vehicles parking, the other is for drop off. After your luggage is checked, they direct you to the inside warehouse where the vehicles are parked. You then get on a shuttle from the warehouse to the cruise terminal across the street.

The shuttle is for security purposes. You cannot drive up to the terminal.

Parking is $15/day and they take major credit cards.

have a great Charleston embarkation.

We cruised the end of December out of Charleston and they don't have a designated parking lane anymore. All lanes are for dropping off or parking. They take your money for parking before you get to the luggage drop off and then you are directed to either the area to park or drop off (close to the luggage drop off)

If you are parking in the warehouse the shuttle runs approximately every 10 minutes to take you on the one minute ride over to the terminal to check in.
