Cheaper to use a travel agent, or book direct?

Thanks I appreciate your help on this - I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good TA online? I asked my local TA and she was actually more expensive than the online booking.

Have you passed the due date for final payment. It is usually 75 days before you sail. If you have NOT passed it, then you can transfer the booking to a travel agent. After final payment you would have to cancel. Then there would be penalties and you would not get all of your money back. The amount will depend on how close you are to sailing. Most likely it would not be worth it.

Thanks, good to know! Is it the same if booking a group cruise? I'm planning a family reunion cruise and not sure if I should find a TA or book directly with Carnival Groups for the better deal.

I would price it with a TA or two and the cruiseline.
