Military Discount

Does anyone know of discounts offered to retired military folks?

many cruise lines offer military discounts to retired military. HAL is the only major cruise line that limits it's military discount to active duty.

At the bottom of the boards is a section labeled Friends of Cruising, there you will find a military section and someone posted a great reply with all cruise lines offers for military, retired or active. I am retired also and started with HAL, I think next time I might look at Celebrity since they do offer a discount. Have made it know on each trip survey on HAL my dissatisfaction with their disregard for past and present service members.

When Celebrity offers a military discount, it is hefty. It can range from 17-30% depending on category. EM

We have received pretty good military discounts from Princess and Carnival. The important thing to understand is that the cruise lines start offering the discounts about 3 months before the cruise when they know that they are having problems filling that cruise. In other words, a certain percentage of the cruises will have a military (or fireman, police, teacher) discount but most will not. The best way to find them is to use an online TA. The one I use I click on military discounts, then the cruise line, then have a listing of all cruises available in the next 90 days from that cruiseline that offer the discount.
