Travel coffee maker folks...

do you pack it in your carry on or your checked luggage. We are flying into SJU. Will this present any problems??

We pack ours in our checked luggage - wrapped in bubble wrap. Never had a problem.

We pack it in the checked luggage and never had a problem. Leaving 2/6 out of San Juan. Hopefully it will arrive safely inside the luggage

It depends, usually in our carry on. The most that happens is they check it going through security at the airport. Never had a problem boarding the ship.

I packed ours in a carry on (Sapphire December 2010) and it was taken away during screening. The security person told me absolutely no coffee pots were allowed. I have put one in carry ons at least 15+ times with no problems until this one.

 

I am not going to give up. It will be in my checked luggage next time.:D I love fresh brewed coffee on the balcony mornings, afternoons, evenings - a true coffee junkie.

One thing that I did was to bring some of those Starbucks Via instant packs with me. Little hot water and I have my morning veranda cup of coffee.....:):):)
