Platinum boarding in Galveston?? First time!

We have just turned platinum. any advantages boarding in Galveston? Should we get in a certain line? I am wanting to carry on my 30 in length rolling duffle? Will I have any problems?

I dont know about a special line, but all carry on items are limited by the size of the x-ray machine.

It has been a while (February 09) but we did have a priority line. Also, we received a glass of champagne (sparkling wine?) while we were waiting to board.

 

When is your cruise? I'll be on a cruise out of Galveston March 6 and would be happy to report back.

I believe there is special boarding for platinum and up in Galveston. I am not sure that bag will go through the screening though. You can ask the porter if it will fit.

Cruised last December and there is a special area/line, but sometimes it is longer that the regular. You need to look before you leap. If the ship is late everyone will be waiting and they load by priority (Suites, Diamond Plus, Diamond, etc.). Galveston does have a little trouble :rolleyes: with fog closing the port in the winter.
