ClaudiaF Posted February 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2011 Wonder why we can't book La Reserve reservations online and can only book the other restaurants. We have to either have TA do it or call Miami..seems like it could be done online without involving others..right?
CintiPam Posted February 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2011 Perhaps something to do with need to pay for it now??
findacruise Posted February 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2011 Perhaps something to do with need to pay for it now?? Yes, it is a pay when you book. There's another thread about half way down titled La Reserve on Marina that discusses this and the limited number of reservations. Check it out and then I'd suggest booking as soon as you can if you want to dine there. Good Luck!
tak2 Posted February 5, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2011 La Reserve is a work in progress. When we booked, it was available for only Jan 26 and 31. It eventually got expanded to 4 nights for the 13 day sailing. It all depends on whether they have wine tasting events ( none of our sailing had these events in La Reserve, they were held in Jacques) or special invitation dinners ( during our maiden voyage, FDR and Bob Binder hosted dinners there) La Reserve was not considered as part of the group of specialty restaurants, as we received a bigger invitation card in an envelope, rather than the reminder cards from specialty restaurants. They , for now, separate the process because La Reserve is different in the sense that there is money transaction.
wripro Posted February 5, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2011 I plan to wait and see what's available when I'm onboard. Since my partner does not drink I may do this one on my own, if at all.
ClaudiaF Posted February 8, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted February 8, 2011 but, when you book the shore excursions, and the cooking classes they book those online ( with credit card). So, to me while on the O site booking dinner resies why not be able to book this one too? I think to have to call Miami or bother TA.. when we are booking all the other goodies on their site can be simplified... just a thought
searanch queen Posted February 8, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2011 Maybe it has something to do with the connection with wine spectator.
