:)Your photos are priceless! What type of camera did you use?

My camera is a Sony Alpha 200 with two lenses - one is an 18-70 and the other a 75-300.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Was fun making the slide shows and reliving our holiday again.:)

Enjoyed your slide shows. Did you book your excursions with the cruise ship?

All but the Train Trip in Skagway were booked independently. The only reason this was booked through the ship was that I got all excited one day when I was looking at our booking on the Royal Carribean website and saw this excursion and clicked BOOK!!!! This was done very early on in the piece before I had really researched a lot and realised how easy it is to book things independently. Would certainly book everything independently next time - pain free and very reliable. Have fun planning.:)

Great pictures! I'm looking at doing whale watching in either Juneau or Icy Strait Point. Which would you receommend?

Thanks!

Hey there - I loved the trip we did in Juneau with Orca but I was blown away by our trip in Icy Strait Point with F.I.S.H.E.S.

Originally I booked our trip in Juneau but then read about the Bubble Net feeding in ISP so booked there as well as this is what I wanted to see. As it worked out - the Bubble Net feeding we saw in Juneau and not in ISP. We were in a smaller boat in ISP and the water was like a lake - I just felt closer to the whales in the smaller boat.

I guess we had a really calm day and the whales were out and about - also saw loads in Juneau on that trip but water not so flat but perhaps if we had been in a smaller boat it would have felt better. Having siad that - we went on the Juneau trip first and thought it was absolutely amazing and unbelievable and were talking about it constantly and did not imagine that it could be any better - but it was!!! So I guess if you have nothing to compare it to either place would be awesome.

But to answer your question - if we were booking again I would go ISP!! I am sure which ever you decide you will have an awesome trip.:)

Really enjoyed your photos - thanks! Noticed on the Seward photos that they have a trolley car. Was it a trolley car tour (hop-on - hop-off) or just transportation? If it was a tour - would appreciate any info on it.

Sorry this was just a random photo we took while walking around Seward but I just did a bit of a Google search and it looks like they are tours - it stated that the Trolley Tours are run by the Hertz Rental people. Hope this helps.:)
