Is it possible to do stingray city on their own?

Yes and no. :D

Yes, it is possible to go to Stingray City on your own, without an excursion. My DH and I do it all the time...but then again, we have a boat there.

No, cruise visitors can't go to Stingray City on their own. It's a sandbank in the middle of the ocean. If you don't have your own boat, the only way to get there is to go with an excursion of some kind.
