megmno Posted February 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2011 I've been watching the sales of aft wrap cabins on our sailing on Valor on August 21st, and I've been surprised to see that they don't appear to be selling very well. Of the six total, only two have been booked. What's more, I checked other sailings during July and August, and there's plenty of the 9Cs available on those cruises too. I was under the impression that to get an aft wrap you had to book way in advance (and I did, last August). But here we are under 200 days out and there are plenty left... Anyone have a theory why? It occurs to me that I should keep my mouth shut about this, because if they don't sell out I might be able to collect some price drops under ES, but my curiosity got the better of me. I have read on here that there is an issue with soot from the smoke stacks settling on the furniture.... I personally have never sailed aft because more motion is felt there and I get sea sick. Cruise prn Posted February 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2011 We had an aft wrap last week on the Glory. Absolutely no problem with ash. It was a great stateroom. Would definitely do it again.
