Travel Insurance question

To clarify FamilyMiricle.

If you are treated on the ship in the ship infirmary, the cost will be added to you S&S account and you pay the bill, then file for reimbursement from the insurance company.

If you are treated by another physician in another country, it depends on that countries policies and procedures. However, it is highly likely that you may have to put up a deposit of some such amount to guarantee payment prior to any emergency medical services being performed.

In instances such as this, SOME insurance comapanies will work with the hospital and provide a one time cash advance (if you will), to get care started. Once stabilized, it will most likely still be up to you to satisfy the final bill before discharge and then file for reimbursement from the insurer.
