Pool Band

Any thoughts on the pool band playing during the day in the pool area. Wondered if they are good or should I plane on bringing my ipod with me when lounging by the pool.

The Pool Band on the 30 Jan to 6 Feb cruise was called Mega 4...a calypso band and they were very good!!!!

Thanks for the band info. We sail on April 10 so hopefully the band will be the same one or

a band just as good. I do enjoy the music played while lounging by the pool.

Mega 4 is the beeeeeeest! I have their CDs :) If you are lucky enough to have them on your ship, you'll really enjoy listening to them!

Mega 4 are a great band, BUT, they are located in a stupid position on the Pool deck. They are really stuck in no mans land, between all the pools, and therefore not focused on any one group of people, therefore creating an atmosphere for them is really hard.

We always loved the party atmosphere that a pool band can create, enabling some people to dance and others to watch the fun. This does not really happen on The Allure. the band just create music but unless you are close to them this is disturbed the the general noise around the pool, I would bring your ipod if music is your thing. :)
