Buying wine near San Diego port?

You can walk to the Rite Aid (I believe it is on the corner of Ash and Kettner). We usually drop off our bags with the terminal porters, catch a cab to the Rite Aid and then walk back. It's about 7-8 blocks- maybe a 10 minute walk. We actually bring a luggage cart so we can wheel our soda/wine back. They had a pretty decent selection of wines- I was pleasantly surprised.

Happy Cruising!:)

It is 3 blocks to the Rite Aid drug store above (not 7) and an easy walk. If you are not picky about having much of a selection, it is OK. Otherwise, plan to go to either the Ralph's supermarket (about 10-11 blocks) or to the Cost Plus World Market in the Gaslamp Quarter (also about 10-11 blocks). You can take a taxicab or pedicab if you will be carrying a lot. There are some specialty wine stores in the Gaslamp Quarter as well if you are looking for something special. A trip to Trader Joe's would require a cab (it is about 2 miles west of the airport).
