Paradise Point Hike?

Somewhere I saw someone talk about hiking up the road to Paradise Point. They said it was about a mile, is that correct? From the tram website, the elevation difference is 760 vertical feet. Has anyone out there done this before?

I commented on this trek. Yes, I have done it. It really isn't too bad if you are in shape. The biggest problems are the heat and humidity and the taxis driving up the road.;)

Ok, maybe I'll give it a shot depending on the weather and how much time we have left. I've done a fair amount of hiking as leader for my local Boy Scout troop so that shouldn't be a problem.
