Mullins or Carlisle Beaches

abomination

Recommended Posts

Hi

Barbados virgins here- we have half a day free in Barbados and would like to get some beach time in- somewhere where we can sunbathe, have some shade and also a bit of a swim.

Looking around our main choice seems to be Mullins Beach or Carlisle beach- which would you recommend? It'll be our first day after the flight in from the UK so as stress-free and relaxing as possible would be good ;-)

TIA

just returned from a cruise and Barbados was one of our stops. We went to Carlisle Beach. The cabs will take you to small "beachclubs" don't go to "Harbor Lights" While lying the sun a huge 3 story rusty ship came up to the shore desembarking 1000 passangers it ruined our day. On a previous cruise we went to a beach by Sandy Beach Hotel the hotel is closed but there is a great beach bar and all the activities. There were few people on the beach. Additionally, you can swim with the turtles for free. The turtles are on their way to feed at Oistins.:D

With just half a day to spare

you need to know that Mullins is a lot further out than is Carlisle Bay

so I'd def. recommend Carlisle Bay over Mullins.
