Dartmoordan Posted February 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Does anyone have any experience of using this company, OH and I are thinking of doing the seaplane excursion 2 hours on a deserted Island, but it's expensive so would value any feedback. Bride2Be0911 Posted February 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2011 I recommend contacting them to see if they even have availability. I contacted them for a late September cruise and was told in a short email that they were booked and that I was welcome to book another tour through them. It did look amazing, but with 7 months to go they claim to be fully booked.
zpb1920 Posted March 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2011 Last year, I booked directly with Bay Island Airways...It was a surprise for my hubby as it was our actual anniversary day on the cruise....We did the tour where they also took us over to Pigeon Keys...Just amazing!!!!! Clay was a great guide up in the air, we were able to hear everything as he navigated...And then we had some private time at the island where Heather seriously made a fantastic lunch and moon pie for desert...Yum yum yum....My husband is a bit picky for food but all I had to do is mention to Heather what he eats (since I eat everything, lol) and she made a wonderful menu for us.... Little did we know as we made it back to the ship that our camera fell out in the back of Dad's (Bob) car...We had no clue...Next thing you know, security is calling us in the room to let us know that someone said we left our camera and we had 15 minutes to retrieve it (we were getting ready to sail off but thankfully some of the ship tours were running late)....I was just so touched that he drove all the way home, as he unpacked the car saw that our camera was there and drove all the way to back to port....I mean, I do not take that for granted at all because they easily could have placed it in the mail and we reimbursed them for shipping....Dad got tons of kudos and a huge hug as he wanted to make sure that the camera made it to my hands.... Hands down, if you ever get to do an aerial tour, DO IT!!!!! There's a totally different perspective from the air....Just amazing and very humbling...And while I can't speak of the other operators who may offer this tour, what I can say is that you will be in great hands if you select Bay Islands...There are truly our family away from home... Here are a few photos - Pigeon Keys our lovely crab we nicknamed "Nippy" The salad and homemade dressing was great Shelly
Cruisin Kay D Posted April 18, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2011 Booked with Roatan Cruise Execusions http://www.roatancruiseexcursions.com and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!! We were on Crown Princess last week and used this company for our day in Roatan. Booked "SHIP WRECK SNORKELING AND BEACH BREAK" -- we were the ONLY 2 people on the excursion!!! Quincy drove us there and Alfred took us in his boat. We had such a relaxing & interesting boat ride along the coastline that we decided to skip the snorkeling. Lunch was at Palmetto Bay Plantation & was delicious!! Prior to our arrival there was a small problem concerning our ship's arrival time, but we emailed back & forth several times, and Quincy was waiting for us outside the Mahagony Bay Security gate. (On return he was able to drive us into MB directly to the shopping village.)
