Which RCI beach excursions have you done recently?

We are looking to do a beach excursion in Cozumel, through the cruise line but we don't have it to be a long one, like 5 hours as many of them seem to be. Has anyone recently been on an RCI excursion to the beach that you loved and can recommend?

they seem to have gotten much shorter in the last 2 years. We were there a week and a half ago and it should easily have been another 2 hours. Didn't get to spend ANY time on the beach.

If you go on your own by catching a taxi, you will be in control of how long you are there. Once you do one on your own, you will never go back to the cruise line beach tours! It is very easy. You just off of the ship and follow the crowd. There will be tons of people to ask where to go to get the taxi (it is right outside of the main shopping areas that are right off of the ship). There are many beaches to choose from, all close to the pier (but not close enough to walk). You can read some past threads to find the best beach for you. Also, it will be much cheaper!!
