Need a plan for pre-cruise stay in Miami

DH, myself and 7 month old DD arriving Friday 2pm at MIA. Want to do some shopping at Sawgrass Mills and eat at Cheesecake Factory.

 

What do you think we should do in regards to hotel stay, car rental and shuttle to pier?

 

Appreciate any suggestions.

That's a 35-40+ minute drive from MIA, so a taxi will cost way too much. :eek: I'd rent a car from Alamo if I could get a good deal, drop it at MIA the day of your cruise, and take their free shuttle to POM. Other options are to rent from either Avis or Hertz and drop at their downtown Miami locations - only a $10 cab ride from POM. any other agencies will require a $24+tip cab ride from MIA -- so it had better be a good rate! :cool:
