raw92378 Posted February 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2011 I sure hope they still take coins. Will be on the Liberty in 2-weeks and am looking forward to some time in the casino. Anyone have an answer?

Thanks Not sure if they take quarters or require bills on Enchantment but there are no cards to buy. Just use cash. Some machines on RCI ships pay out in cash, others in vouchers which you can put back in the machines in lieu of cash. On some ships you can use your seapass card to accrue credits for casino prizes, similar to the Player's cards in many land-based casinos.

Thanks I know that they take bills and when you cash out, you get a ticket, not quarters, that you take to the Cashier and exchange it for cash. Stanthefireman Posted February 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2011 I'll be on the same cruise. Most slots just take in bills and post an electronic credit. I'm not 100% sure that's how it is on the Enchantment, tho. Cya on Monday!

Eng23 Posted February 24, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Seeing as slot machines take more of your money than it gives back just let me stand next to you and you just give your money to me, it would be just like playing a slot machine..... :D Oh and I do take quarters, dimes, nickels too.......:D Just kidding, I can't tell you much about the slots since I'm a craps person myself. That just means I get to give away my money to a living breathing person from Royal Caribbean.....:D

Thanks On Enchantment you get started at a slot machine by inserting bills or a ticket you have received from a previous machine. No place to insert coins any longer. When you cash out you get a ticket- either use in another machine or cash out at the cage. I think it is possible to put money on your Sea Pass account, but we don't do that- seems to easy to overspend. We take traveler checks and cash as needed at the cage- no charge to do this. Do keep your SeaPass card in the machine while you play, you will earn points to redeem at end of the cruise. We received two t shirts, not to gaudy and says RCL on the sleeve and they are actually quite comfortable. Out to score two more this May!
Jimnbigd Posted February 24, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Slots typically don't pay. Save time. Just drop $50 off at the casino cashier window, then go enjoy the ship. :o
swiss2619 Posted February 25, 2011 #12 Share Posted February 25, 2011 Last year on Explorer I was told that the machines would be "coin-less" before the Summer of '11 on Explorer. Anyone know if this has happened on Explorer yet? I love to play the slots on cruises from time to time but really do not like having to deal with coins and carrying the buckets to the cashier. (though I have to admit it is better to cash in as opposed to feeling the machine is a reverse ATM that takes and you do not receive!) :) Swiss
