Is this allowed on Carnival?

If you have 2 future cruise certificates (one in each of the couple's name), can you use one for a friends reservation by booking one person in one cabin and one in the other and then switching everyone to the correct cabin once you are onboard? If this scenario didn't make sense, I'll try to re-explain it.

We have done this on RCI (at the Loyalty Ambassador's suggestion). We just had to make sure to wait to sort out the sign and sail cards/cabin keys after we boarded.

The scenario does make sense and yes you can. My brother and his wife travel with 2 older teenagers (but under 21) and they do the same thing. Wife gets a balcony, brother gets an interior right across the hall. Once on board, kids get the interior and adults get the balcony.

But the real answer to your question is no it is not allowed by CCL rules. You just switch and don't tell anyone!
