FV GTY on Summit

I understand that if I book an FV GTY, I will get an FV or above. Unfortunately, C1, C2 and C3 are defined as above, right? However, we are a family of four. Are there CC cabins that sleep four? I didn't see any on a quick glance at the deck plans. In any case, there are no CCs for four showing as available for the sailing I'm interested in.

If there is a chance that we would end up in an CC rather than an FV, I'd just as soon book a regular veranda and save the $$, but we like our space. :)

Thanks.

How old is your number 3 and 4. If you are forced to have an adult sleep on one of their old style sofa beds, they are not very comfortable. On our corner FV a few years ago one person (my 18 year old son) had to sleep on a sofa bed. He was not very happy as it was uncomfortable. When you book a guarantee you run the risk of having someone use a sofa bed. And with FV cabins so limited, you will probably get a C class cabin.

Then you should be fine. Kids seem to be able to sleep anywhere. On our FV, it was 8166, on the Millennium. The sitting area in the back half of the cabin had two different sized sofa beds. That was a corner cabin but I think all FV's have two sofa beds in them. But as I recall, only one could be fully opened at a time. The kids might have to share a sofa bed. Good luck.

I also booked an outside FV, and plan on using the balcony as a gathering place. But the sofa bed set up was what I am concerned about do both of the sofas sleep 2 or is one 2 and the other 1.

I to booked a garenteed FV then they assisgned a room number

Unless things have changed from when I was in the Millennium FV, both sofa beds cannot be opened at the same time. The larger one, will hold two people when it is opened up. But they will be "cozy". The smaller one when opened up really holds one person. I heard that if needed, they will use the larger sofa bed for 2 people and then convert the top of the smaller sofa bed for a third person. The smaller sofa bed is not really opened up. I also believe that they will also turn the top of the sofa beds in to two separate twin beds. But this may be too short for an adult but fine for kids.

I still can't believe that X decided to classify the cabins this way. In 2008 when we booked an FV GTY, we were assured that you could NOT be given a CC cabin- it was FV or a suite.

FVs are much larger than CCs and have bigger balconies and tend to cost more- how could a CC possibly be defined as a superior cabin???

I'd be very surprised if the OP was allowed to book a GTY with 4 people though- usually the max is 2.
