The Wyndham International is a very large resort right in the middle of everything. The room was nice but quite small compared to most hotels. We did get it through priceline so that may have something to do with the type of room we got. It's a beautiful resort with lakes. It's set up more like an apartment complex with several different buildings. There are alot of places to shop and eat within walking distance including one of the "BIG" McDonalds right there. There was a Harley Davidson store across the street and more restaurants and gift shop than you can imagine.

Hope this information helps you.

This hotel is actually a "motel". You enter your room from the outside, and as the other posts says, there are several buildings on the "campus". You will have to walk from your room to the main building where the dining room and front desk are, and there is no covered walkways, so this is interesting in the common Florida downpours. The rooms themselves are closer to an old Holiday Inn than a Wyndham IMO, but servicable and clean.

The rooms are the low point to be sure, but the grounds and other facilities are rather nice. The grounds are very well kept, with lots of fountains and koi ponds around. There is a very nice pool centrally located, with a fun outdoor bar, and a convenient store and ice-cream shop nearby. There are loads of pool toys, ping-pong, and other games that you can check out for family fun. Tennis courts too. The main building houses a nice restaurant that is good but overpriced, and another convenience store/ snack-bar.

As mentioned, this is in the middle of everything, but on a very, very busy intersection,so walking to other locations is tough. There are several chain restaurants, drug stores, grocery stores, and a HUGE McDonald's nearby, and everything else within say a 5 mile radius. Convenient to the interstate too, which is a better way to go more than a few miles, compared to the hopelessly jammed International Drive.

Overall, a good place to go, especially with a young family. If you want a newer hotel, with fresh decorations, carpet and linens, this is not the "hotel" for you. I stayed here during a conference, and moved to a Marriott Residence Inn for the weekend, and despite the range of things to do, my family was much more comfortable in the more modern Residence Inn.

I am excited to hear that there is a Harley Davidson Store nearby icon_smile.gif

Sounds like a nice place considering the deal that we got on priceline. I can't wait to explore!

I would hardly classify this hotel as a "motel" - at least when we stayed there in November 2002. There is a lot of walking involved depending on where your room is, but the room we stayed in was really nice and seemed large enough. A nice hotel for the cheap Priceline price I paid. The decor was new, and there was a nice fountain outside our room.

We bought the trolley pass for the days we were there and liked using it to go to nearby restaurants (Olive Garden, Chilis, Ponderosa, etc.). The hotel is located near a really busy intersection, so be cautious when crossing streets - the drivers don't seem to pay attention. I thought the grounds were lush and inviting - just a lot of walking from the lobby to some of the rooms. Staff were very nice, too.

Here are a few photos I took. Hope this helps!

For what it's worth, this was formerly a Marriott hotel. Nice pool, average rooms and amenities. Best thing going is that it is close to the shopping and restaurant action on International Drive.
