Quick question: I have a small group of people staying at the Holiday Inn Express Airport/Pier Hotel. We are a total of 7. What is a good time to head to the pier? We don't want to hang out at the hotel so we were thinking early so that we could all get the same hotel shuttle. Any recommendations. Anyone stay here before and is it easy to get the shuttles to the pier? I believe they charge for the service but I don't see that being a problem. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd rather hang out at the hotel or even have a root canal than stand in a cattle line in the terminal so I usually don't arrive until after 2:00 PM.

I like to board the ship with time to spare, so I can drop off my carry on / bags, explore the ship and have a leisurely bite to eat. There are crowds to board but with several people to keep you company, imho the line goes pretty fast.

I usually wind up at the pier around noon, it takes a while to embark and cabins are ready for you typically by 1pm. Lots of people want to be at the pier by 11, sometimes the cabins are ready a bit earlier.

NCL is pretty standard about not allowing people in their cabins until 2:00 PM., so that's another reason I wait until after 2:00 to get to the terminal. By then all the cattle have cleared out of the way so I can walk straight to the check-in desk, straight onto the ship and straight to my cabin to drop my stuff.
