gooch47 Posted March 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2011 We have caller-id and use it faithfully to screen (not answer) calls from telemarketers and relatives ... just kidding about the relatives. If NCL calls with an upsell offer, are they clearly identified as NCL?

youngestof9 Posted March 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2011 they called my cell (which was the only number I gave them to ensure they would get me at any time) and it came across as a 305 area code. I got the call 4 days before sailing.
NeilD Posted March 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2011 Recieved my call 02/15, 5 days before. Call came from (305) 436-4000, which is the corporate office number.
gooch47 Posted March 1, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted March 1, 2011 Thanks. Now I can go back and see if I missed any calls from them. :(
LizCruiser Posted March 1, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2011 Will they leave a message, typically? I booked through Costco travel, has anyone else used them and received an upsell call? I'm getting antsy because I'm a month out and don't have an assignment for my GTY mini-suite yet (I realize that it can be as late as when I board, lol, but it's driving me crazy! :))
dmtb518 Posted March 1, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2011 Thanks. Now I can go back and see if I missed any calls from them. :( My came in as the same number but it clearly said NORWEGIAN CRU on my Tv and caller id,... I got the call.. hope yours comes too.. They probably wont leave a message because its first come first served as upgrades go.
AerynSun_JohnCrighton Posted March 1, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2011 305 area code.. but if you booked w/ TA, it would come through them right? I gave my TA my cell # and e-mail addy and clearly stated we were interested in an upgrade and/or upsell if one came through... that was a suite level (We are in a BB, so not interested if it's not suite level)
gooch47 Posted March 1, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted March 1, 2011 It isn't real likely that we'll get one. This is a cruise my hubby "won" at Caesar's in Windsor, Ontario, and we already upgraded it from an inside to a balcony when we first booked it. We booked it through the number that was on the packet of information we got from the casino.
garycarla Posted March 1, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 1, 2011 I answer every call I get. I have heard of too many missing an important call. Of course, we do not have an answering machine to screen since we only have a cell.
TxGal Posted March 1, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 1, 2011 We got our call today and leave on Saturday. It was definitely from a 305 area code.
run2sea Posted March 2, 2011 #12 Share Posted March 2, 2011 Will they leave a message, typically? I booked through Costco travel, has anyone else used them and received an upsell call? I'm getting antsy because I'm a month out and don't have an assignment for my GTY mini-suite yet (I realize that it can be as late as when I board, lol, but it's driving me crazy! :)) They called my cell phone 9 days before our sailing, but I couldn't pick up the call while at work. Caller ID was the same (305) number mentioned above. They left a message and also sent an email, but I'm not sure if they do that routinely or just because there were still lots of available suites on our sailing. We did not use Costco, so I can't offer any thoughts on that. Would they contact you directly or the Costco agent? Good luck to you!
