When To Go - Western Caribbean

I really don't want to travel with a gaggle of Spring Breakers - or trying to dodge hurricanes. We're looking at booking a cruise to the Western Caribbean out of Galveston in the fall of 2005 or spring of 2006.

What do you experienced travelers recommend? :-)

We went on Norwegian about 5 years ago out of Houston and are going on Princess Nov. 26. May was hot once you got away from the water but great cruise. We want to hit some different ports so are going Princess this year, Hope the hurricanes are over.

Try Early November before Thanksgiving or in December (1st or 2nd week) between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Have traveled to the Caribbean during this time and you don't have to worry about hurricanes, much, and kids are still in college during this time. Weather is gorgeous. Mid to upper 80's.
