canary islands on QV

hi we are on the QV at easter and was wondering if anyone has imformation about the trips.we are going with friends and have already decided that we prefer to do our own thing when it comes to excursions except there is one trip that we would love to do which is the whale watch and swim in Tenerife,does anyone know if it`s possible to do this ourselves or our we best to book this one with cunard?thanks to anyone who can help.

I am sure you would be able to do it yourself, but it might take a bit of planning. The other thing to think about is if anything goes wrong and you are late back to the ship, thre is more chance of her still being there if you are on a Cunard tour.
