Choice Air

I have been reading mix reviews on Choice Air. The reviews I have been reading seem to be from a year or more ago. Mainly on price. Anyone have any recent reviews on Choice Air? And can some one tell me, when I booked online for Oasis, being a newbie I checked off will book with Choice Air later, if I find something cheaper and better suited for my family, am I still able to go that route? Or are we married to it now? Thanks

No, when you book Choice Air you pay in full at that time. It is not the same as Cruise Air where you can pay at final payment. If you are looking for the cheapest price it is probably a non-refundable ticket, so you can not get your money back.

Thanks Jade, sorry I think I didn't explain myself properly When I booked our trip for March 2012 on the RCL website, I had two options: I will book airfare with ChoiceAir later, or I do not need airfare for this cruise (or something to that effect) I clicked on the will use ChoiceAir later, and have yet to do so (airfare not available yet for the dates) seeing as the reviews don't seem to be favourable, do I still have to go through Choice Air to book my airfare?

No, you can opt out.

I researched airfare for months for my transatlantic cruises. We are using the roundtrip air for two transatlantics, one in May and one in October. I found Choice Air to have exactly the same fares I could find elsewhere, but the connections weren't as good.

You should include them in your research, because sometimes they do have a better price. I use mobissimo to check for mine, since they show almost all the major carriers. If it's domestic flights you are looking for, be sure to check the individual airline web sites if mobissimo shows a good fare. Sometimes the airline will be slightly cheaper.

Good luck!

Thanks Peggy, that's great news. As long as I have options, I feel confident that whatever I can find and decide upon will be the best. Of course, I know not to look after the air has been bought :)

This was already answered, but no you do not have to use Choice Air. Note that it is different than Cruise Air mystery flights (Ok, you can still pay for a deviation with most cruise lines), since with Choice Air you need to initiate the process through the Choice Air booking tool and select and pay for your flights.
