If you're Sailing Oceania from Miami

Those of you who are saiing from Miami, probably know already that Oceania uses Berth J for all of their ships.

What you might not know is that the Pool Restaurant-Bar of the InterContinental Hotel, which they call the Bluewater Restaurant, has a STUNNING View of that part of the Port......and it's a bargain too :D

The Bluewater is only open from 11AM to 6PM, and the food service ends at 3PM when the Happy Hour Pricing begins.

Still, the food is fairly good (think Pub food with a Caribbean flair) and with a top price of $15, it is certainly a bargain for ANY restaurant with a view like this.

For those who are staying at the InterContinental, the Bluewater has the added attraction of being adjacent to their lovely outdoor pool.

The building with the barrel tile roof is the Bluewater, and I took this next photo of the Marina from that outdoor terrace on the right of the restaurant!

We are disembarking in Miami and plan to rent a Hertz car for our trip home. We were told that Hertz has a shuttle that will pick us up at the dock adjacent to the ship. Do you have any additional insight into the car rental process at the port?

If you've never been to Miami I'd recommend that you hire a private car to pick you up at the airport and give you a tour of Miami and Miami Beach from South Beach north to Bal Harbour and drop you off at the ship. That way you could even stop some place for breakfast and not have to worry about your luggage.

They have a pickup that takes you to MIA to get a car or they do have a local one but sometimes they only rent if you bring it back to that location from the airport it can be one way
