Been having a conversation on another board about 'How do you post a link, to a link'. IOWs ... if I want to post a URL to another site, how do I post click "here" (where 'here' is actually a link to the URL) without actually posting the URL - that I can do. Don't understand?? This is specific to Cruise Critic, not other web sites.

1. When either doing a new post or replying to a post, write what you want

(i.e., go HERE.)

2. With your cursor, highlight HERE

3. On the menu bar at the top, look for the icon that looks like a planet, with a link from a chain on it.

3. Click the icon, a new window will pop up.

4. Enter the URL for the link in the block provided, then click OK.

That is all there is to it. The word HERE will now be an active link to the URL that you provided.

Cheers,

I've always done it backwards.

  1. Copy the link.
  2. Click on the "planet/link" icon.
  3. Paste the link and click OK.
  4. The link appears in the reply box twice. One is already highlighted in blue. Just type what I want to read in the reply.
