Athens By Taxi - Just Booked! =)

Just booked a full-day tour of Athens with Paul from Athens by Taxi.

 

He quoted us at 230 Euros. I am just wondering, what is the appropriate amount to tip at the end of the day? I know it's personal and based on good service, etc. but I have no idea what acceptable tipping for such a taxi service in Greece is.

Most likely the same that you would tip at home. 15% - 20%.

Agree with aohkay. We used Athens by Taxi in Oct. for transfers and the 1/2 day sunset drive to Cape Sounion to see the Temple of Poseidon. They're a great company!

Just make sure you know who is going to drive you. The first time we went with Paul and he was great. Last year he promised that we would either have him or his son as a driver . I was somewhat surprised when he sent someone else without warning. Returning to Athens this year and will not use him because of it.

He said it would be him or his son. Did the replacement person do a poor job?
