Lsimon Posted March 19, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2011 There is a 'sticky" thread at the top of the forum that has tons of info on drink prices and the packages. The drink prices haven't changed much, if at all, since that thread was started about a year ago.
koolforkatz Posted March 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2011 We just got off the Feb 26 Connie sailing and thought the drink package was a great deal. We got the premium one and with 2 lattes a day ($4 each), a couple of bottles of water ($4 each), a martini ($10 each) before dinner, two glasses of wine ($10-$12) with dinner and then a drink after dinner, it doesn't take long to hit the $50 mark... one tip - Cellarmasters has more expensive wines by the glass than the regular bars. We didn't find that out until halfway through our cruise.
karonius Posted March 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2011 Cellarmasters has more expensive wines by the glass than the regular bars. We didn't find that out until halfway through our cruise. So were they more or less than $12.00. Can we use the premium package at Cellarmasters?
kitty9 Posted March 19, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2011 So were they more or less than $12.00. Can we use the premium package at Cellarmasters? We did. We used the package everywhere, including the specialty restaurants.
ssptcruise Posted March 20, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Only a few wines fit under the $12 cap at cellarmasters. But we enjoyed those.
koolforkatz Posted March 20, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 20, 2011 So were they more or less than $12.00. Can we use the premium package at Cellarmasters? They had a really nice Oregon pinot gris at $11 and a Chateaneuf de Pape at $12. A few others between $10-$12 cap, too.
fazer59 Posted March 20, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Thanks all for info on drinks packages sill undecided ?? may pay as we go for the first 2or 3days then opt for package then if it looks good :DBrian
aloanldy Posted March 20, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 20, 2011 I don't think you can opt for the drink package from day to day, I think you have to buy as a package or just pay as you go. Just figure out how much you think you'll drink a day. For us it works better to buy the packages than it does to pay as we go. But we do like our beverages!;)
dzcruisers Posted March 20, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 20, 2011 On our fall TA you could sign up onboard with at least two days left in the cruise. You paid for the rest of the cruise from the day you signed up but could not cancel once you signed up. The rules may have changed but fall 2010 worked like that.
