Tinkerbellmom41 Posted March 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2011 Hi my family is taking a cruise to the bahamas in June from port canaveral with a stop at cococay. I asked the RC agent on the phone if we need a passport. He said no just a birth certificate for the kids, and a birth certificate and DL for me and my dh. Does this sound right? We are all US citizens. After I got off the phone I read something about an immunization record do we have to have this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.TIA Amy
Ocean Boy Posted March 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2011 At the present time a birth certificate will be fine. Make sure it is a state issued one and not a hospital issued one. I would also bring along a photo ID. They do check them, as well as your seapass, in Nassau when returning to the ship from shore. You do not need any immunization records. RoofingPrincess Posted March 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2011 You'll be fine, Amy. Adults need birth certificate and gov't issued photo ID (like a driver's license); minors, just the birth certificate (airlines and cruise lines recognize that many minors do not have a DL). No immunization record needed.

If you had to stay in a port for medical reasons... (on my last cruise 2 passengers had to stay in a port). If you were thrown off the ship by RC (it has happened) ...
