Booking Tours using onboard credit

Tried to book some tours this evening and they wanted my charge card number, but I want to use my OBC. How do you do this? They are closed now.

By virtue of its name OBC is On Board Credit - any tours booked in advance are on your charge card.

Never gave that a thought. This is the only time I have ever had OBC. Should I go ahead and book, charge my card, cancel when I get there and then rebook?
