  1. We are booked on our first Seabourn cruises in February and it would be good for other luxury lines to support cc. On crystal they tend to have them if a min number signed up.
  2. Hi Keith, Its been a few years since we stayed in Tokyo but we stayed at the Four Seasons which was very central(2 min walk to Tokyo station). We really enjoyed the hotel and service was excellent particularly in making some of the tough sushi and Japanese reservations my daughter wanted (Sushi Jiro, Sawada, Ishikawa). One of the concierge team actually walked to the restaurant the first day they took reservations and vouched so she was able to get what she wanted. If you decide to take some of the suggestions above regarding the Narita express- they also offer complimentary to pick you up from the train station and drop you off. They do offer the car and also offer a concierge service in Tokyo airports that will guide you to either private car or Narita express. Miriam
  3. That is a nice plus..the crew I mean and certainly draws us back. But the long journey in economy is too tough and business costs have increased substantially. On another note I have really bonded with crews on other lines too and unfortunately the PG only sails in certain waters. You didn't advise whether the scuttlebutt came from Ponant or the PG.
  4. Did you hear this from PG or Ponant? After a change like a take over things are in flux even when the same staff are maintained. Witness the Oceanization of Regent or the Edieization of Crystal with an about face after she went to Ponant. Ultimately he who pays the piper calls the tune. I am therefore in wait and see mode and hope all goes well for our wonderful PG family. Only after Motu gave me the go ahead did I return to the PG in 2011 and I look forward to a similar heads up from him. That being said am planning to be on the 2021 reunion.
  5. We had similar experiences on our one Oceania cruise!
  6. We have had great service on Crystal not so my DD who was down the hall from us. She did complain to the chief housekeeper and received better service and a box of chocolates. I always touch base day 1 with my attendant regarding my water preferences and need to give me hypo allergenic bedding. We also tend to see them in the hallway. Of course some have been better than others over the years but this is expected.
  7. Thanks for all your posts TC. We have three months until our next Crystal cruise and all the pics and menus build our anticipation.
  8. Looking forward to your impressions. We too just enjoy spending time with each other so have always had a table for two or three unless cruising with friends.
  9. Are you cruising with TC as well? It has been an age since we cruised together. We were Crystallized a few years ago and have been sailing them for the last few years.
  10. We are booked on our first Seabourn cruise ...Feb 8 th Seabourn Odyssey. would appreciate a referral coupon. My email is miriamdcunhaatyahoodotca please note that you will need to use @ and . In my address. many thanks!
  11. Thanks for your review and wonderful pics. It took me back to our first trip in 2003 and our awe and joy in being on the PG in FP.
  12. True Ponant is but a lot more expensive.
  13. Sorry that you and Wendy won’t be on the 2021 Reunion. But, enjoy your WC!
  14. I used Tereva Excursions to the Reef Islands. I had arranged an all day ship visit to Rangiroa with PG management. We will also have the full day in Rangiroa on our 2021 Reunion cruise.I hope to visit the Rangiroa blue lagoon and pink sands on that cruise. The usual half day in Rangiroa is great for divers but not for me.
  15. Miss Lily, do you remember the dark days of 2005/2006 when Grand Circle was involved? the food was mediocre there were cutbacks only the staff shone . Ponant needs to remember that the success of the PG are based on two things the beauty of the location and the staff who run it.
