Shady beach places in Roatan?

My wife likes the beach. I like the shade of a plam or palapa on the beach. Any suggestions on where to go for beach with shade? (saying shady beach place just sounded bad)

We roll with the 100% deet in Mexico and Carribean. Make that mistake once lol.

This was taken in front of Bananrama looking up the beach. Banarama has seating in the shade near the bar. You can also rent chairs and shade from almost any of the beach clubs here.

I would agree with Halfmoon Bay, it really is very scenic.

We just got back from our cruise on Carnival Valor and did the ship excursion to Maya Key...beautiful, small private island with lots of shady areas, great snorkeling off the pier, animal sanctuary, replicas ruins and not crowded at all! If I can figure out how to post pics, I have some great ones of the island...this was our favorite place on the cruise!

God, that picture made me "homesick"--have to go back. You can also get shade at the Mayan Princess--go for the back row of chairs.
