cdamion Posted March 21, 2011 #26 Share Posted March 21, 2011 I guess the shrimp salad sandwich - and always cake. I do have to say that I am somewhat disappointed in Carnival's room service menu's lack of choices of things other than sandwiches. At least they don't have a 'nominal fee' like at least one other line is charging overnight now.

Brian2204 Posted March 21, 2011 #30 Share Posted March 21, 2011 We placed the pre-order card out the night before for a breakfast delivery. Always came within 10 minutes (before or after) of the requested time. Our standing order is for 2 carafes of hot water (we bring our own coffee and Malita cone and filters) to "brew" in our room, along with some danishes and perhaps fruit. This holds us over till a late breakfast or early lunch. Oh and BTW....there is NOTHING better than having that first cup of coffee on the balcony. On another related note....on our last cruise we brought 2 bottles of wine with us. On several evenings I would go to the buffet and gather an assortment of cheeses, meats, condiments (olives, pickles, etc), and bread basically creating an Anti Pasto plate to be enjoyed with the wine on the balcony in the early evenings. Absolutely SPLENDED on the Splendor!!!
SMSACE6 Posted March 21, 2011 #31 Share Posted March 21, 2011 I like to order room service breakfast on early arrival in port days, just to avoid the mad dash to the buffet, but have to admit Im not big on breakfast normally, so the continental breakfast offerings on Carnival suit me well. Usually coffee, croissant and fruit, and occasionally bagel, cream cheese and lox. I once ordered a bottle of wine and the vegetable tray with dip, and invited a couple of my buddies on board to enjoy it with me before dinner. Last September, on the last day of the cruise, I went to my stateroom about 1pm to start packing my suitcase :( So I ordered the chicken fajita wrap. It was very very good. I still hope to enjoy the BLT some day, that so many folks here rave about.:)
Name Of The Game Posted March 21, 2011 #32 Share Posted March 21, 2011 What makes the BLT so special and better than a BLT anywhere else? It's not like they can add special spices to it...

Sherrybaby412 Posted March 21, 2011 #34 Share Posted March 21, 2011 I ordered room service for the first time on my recent cruise. Loved the steak and brie sandwich but my favorite was the open faced shrimp sandwich and the chocolate cake was to die for.

MicksMom Posted March 22, 2011 #38 Share Posted March 22, 2011 We ordered room service for the 1st time on our last cruise. Nothing better than enjoying a great turkey sandwich & cheesecake on our balcony while watching the pier runners in Coz. Will definitely order more often next time. Kaboochi Posted March 22, 2011 #43 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Oh, I like this thread. Cindy and I (best friends - leave the hubbies home for spring cruise) love room service after a night at the piano bar then on to the casino. At 1am I order the yummy shrimp salad sandwich - sometimes 2. She orders the tuna melt. I think Carnival has the best room service menu. We also like the beef tenderloin sandwich. I just like Carnival - 6 weeks to go :D:D:D:D
2addicted2xmas Posted March 22, 2011 #44 Share Posted March 22, 2011 We always get a double bacon blt and the tuna sandwich and each have half! Nothing better at 2am. The only downside is I always spend a few days when we get home craving that sandwich and there is no one to make t for me!

Pre-Dinner Snack - vegatables & dip Late Night - Chicken Fajita Wrap & Grilled Zucchini, Portobello & Mozzarella on Focaccia bread Man I am hungry! Is all this standard fare on all Carnival cruises? VibraTech Posted March 22, 2011 #48 Share Posted March 22, 2011 I can not agree more about the chocolate cake. It is the very best and you can only get it through room service. Just a quick reminder - please tip your room service staff. We want to keep them happy!
