Boston excursions when docking in Gloucester

We are on the Eurodam, Canada/New England cruise October 10th out of Quebec. If we go to the Canada/New England cruise excursions we see one for an 8 hour tour to Boston. The ship docks at Gloucester at 7 a.m. and sails at 3 p.m. Has anyone done this tour? When I go directly to the excursion page for the cruise (my account) I don't see it offered but it does say that additional excursions may be offered as we get closer to the date. It does seem like a very tight schedule - can it be done?

I have never taken that particular tour, but we live in MASS. Boston is about 45 min drive from Gloucester, so the bus ride won't be very long. Boston is a really beautiful city, and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. If you choose to just stay in Gloucester be sure to make your way over to Rockport. Rockport is what makes that whole area interesting.
