B2B and OBC

We had put cash on our account and they issued us a cheque the last night of the first cruise, just like they would normally do.

So then can we just turn around and apply that to our OBC for the second week?

It all depends on if the OBC you have is refundable or nonrefundable. If its nonrefundable, then they dont issue a check. If it is refundable, you can go down the last night and get it refunded in cash and just put it down on the next cruise when that one starts.

The poster who answered you put cash down .... so yes that is always refundable, and they will give it back to you.

Im not 100% if they will cash a carnival check or not, so Id just ask for it in cash.

That would be kinda weird if they wouldn't cash their own cheque! lol That makes me think of another dilemma then. Since I am Canadian (hence the spelling of cheque) I don't know if I'd even be able cash a US cheque when I get back home, and I'm sure I wouldn't be able to cash it at a US bank that I don't have an account at. What do you other Canadians do in this situation? Can you cash them in Canada if Carnival won't?

Isnt US cash good enough??

As I posted you can ask for it back in cash. Go down late the night before, when you are ready to cash out. I wouldnt wait for the final morning to get cash, once they are back in port.

You're right. I forgot about that part! My mind was just wandering wondering about the fact that Carnival might not cash their own cheque. I will just ask for cash. Thanks for the info!
