cruiserkcs Posted April 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Does anyone know how long it takes to get to Maho Beach from the cruise ship pier? Would traffic be congested when trying to get back to the ship?
rick10010x Posted April 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2004 It will take about 20 minutes at a good time of day, but if you travel during rush hour, or when the Simpson Bay bridge is up it will take longer. Rick

veridian6 Posted April 17, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2004 I concur with Rick... 20-30 minutes depending on traffic[time of day] was just there on April 3rd... took about that amount of time. Lex
kmd123 Posted April 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2004 i have a timeshare at maho and its a great place to spend the day- lots of restaurants, casino, beach and the 747s flying in over your head look close enough to touch!
gtaylor Posted April 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2004 We were there on March 25th. Maho beach to the Courthouse was about 12 minutes. We also agree that it could take 30 or 40 minutes, but if you're in a taxi, they'll know about the traffic and optomize the trip with the hopes of picking up one more fare. Ocean Boy Posted May 4, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 4, 2004 We went to Maho beach last week. I now belong to the exclusive club of people who have been sand blasted by the jet wash of a 747 taking off. What an incredible experience. If you are the type of person who loves to ride roller coasters then you are probably the type of person that would get a real kick out of having jets blast you off your feet!!!!!!! What a unique place. St Martin was the best port on the Easter itinerary. Oh, as to the question. It took us about 15 minutes to get from the beach back to down town in a rental car.
