I know it wasn't asked, however, last year on the Equinox in Blu we asked for and were served escargot without question.

If you eat in Murano, they serve escargot tortellini- amazing!

Last fall on the Eclipse TA escargot was on the everyday menu (and DH ordered it just about everyday) but then they ran out of snails. So for the last few days the escargot was made with lobster. Fantastic!

Do you mean I'm attempting to make a little joke or that the waiter was when he refused to serve us snails? This was the same escargot plates with the little indentations, but instead of the dark snail there was a white piece of lobster meat. Same butter/garlic sauce. We heard this explanation several times as others ordered and he had to explain what they would be getting.

Some folks get a thrill out of calling escargot snails.
