Renaissance or Pier 66

Trying to decide between these 2 hotels in Fort Lauderdale. Can anyone offer me advice on which one is better for 2 nights pre-cruise? Looking for restaurants near by, and close to the beach. Thanks.

Hyatt Pier 66 because it is more of a resort.

Both are surrounded by excellent dining options.

Close to the beach is Aruba which is literally on the beach. Will you have a car?

Hyatt Pier 66.

Both hotels are within a short ride to the beach and Renaissance is closer to restaurants but Hyatt has its own restaurants and is a really nice resort. Ren is nice but it feels more like a business hotel than a resort.
