Back to Back Questions

Recommended Posts

Off on our first back to back cruise on the Brilliance out of Dubai in a couple of weeks and have a few questions for more knowledgeable RCI cruisers please;

What happens at the end of the first cruise with;

1. Unused internet minutes

2. Wine left in package

3. Seapass account - is it finalised or can it carry over to next cruise

4. Leaving ship for the day. Can we get off quick?

5. When we return do we just show our Seapass to get back on circumventing the queues?

6. Any other tips appreciated.

Cheers

What happens at the end of the first cruise with;

1. Unused internet minutes (U lose them)

2. Wine left in package (speak to your waiter, and if "no", take it to your cabin)

3. Seapass account - is it finalised or can it carry over to next cruise (Finalised and you are issued a new seapass card for next leg)

4. Leaving ship for the day. Can we get off quick? (Yes, when cleared by authorities)

5. When we return do we just show our Seapass to get back on circumventing the queues? (You will have new card/key issued before you disembark.. Use old card on way off, and new card to get back on)

6. Any other tips appreciated. (They may have a special luncheon organised for b2bers and be briefed the day before arrival)

Cheers

Hope that helps.

Have a great time :)

I do not believe your internet minutes will roll over.

I would get any remaining bottles of wine on the last night of the first cruise. Take them to your cabin after discussing it with the Matre "D that you are returning.

Bring them back to the diningroom one bottle at a time for dinner. If they are purchased on the ship, you should not have a corkage fee, but talk to the Matre'D.

Seapass account will close after first cruise.

You should receive a new seapass card for the second cruise. They will tell you about getting off and back on, depends on the port.

Tip your cabin steward and waiter the first week. They might change for the second week.

Have a terrific time!

5. When we return do we just show our Seapass to get back on Circumenting the queues?

A word of caution. The only thing I might add is that getting back on the ship may not go as smooth as you think. All ships and ports do not have the exact same policy and procedures

First before debarkation make for sure you have your new Seapass card, Passports and any other documentation you need for your new cruise. Check this out with your B2B coordinator.

Circuventing the queues may or may not be a problem. You will be told it isn't by the ship's staff but remember when you are off the ship trying to get back on you are at the mercy of the local port authority personnel. The ease of avoiding the queues will depend on the terminal layout and how the new passengers are directed.

Bottom line is that more than likely it shouldn't be a problem. But sometimes the best made plans have a wrinkle in them.
